Recently, Sony's unit faced a number of difficulties. However, in some areas, the Japanese giant is feeling quite comfortable. In particular, cameras and game consoles bring the company considerable profit. Therefore, Sony plans to continue to develop these areas. For example, today the Japanese manufacturer announced the creation of a new company under the name of Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (SIE), whose headquarters will be located in California, in San Mateo, and it will be headed by Andrew House. SIE will be engaged in the development and promotion of all that is connected with the PlayStation.

The new company will include the existing divisions Sony: Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., which is responsible for "iron" and software PlayStation, and Sony Network Entertainment, engaged in the development and support services PlayStation Vue and the PlayStation Store.

The new company aims to strengthen the position of the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR, as well as to popularize network services Sony. Formation of Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC will be completed by the beginning of April.
